Trip to Czech Republic - foto

The mobility of our Erasmus+ project to Prostejov took place in October. We travelled to our destination mostly by train with a short part of our journey travelling by bus. When we arrived, we were picked by our host families and taken to their homes. On Monday morning we came to school to start our project work. Firstly we got to know each other through some social games and simple talks. We also delivered our presentations of schools and countries as well as ourselves which we had prepared at home. Then we were served a warm meal for lunch in the school canteen. After that we were taken for a walk around Prostejov to have a look at some interesting places in the town. One day there was a kind of “sports day”. We took part in various sports events in which all the participants were divided into international teams. We were served pizza for lunch on that day. Then we had some free time which we could spend with our hosts. There was a trip to the mountains one day. Unfortunately, we started it in poor weather conditions – it was cold and foggy.
The trip was meant for visiting the “sky walk” – a structure built over the tops of the trees with a view of all the area around. Luckily, the weather changed and the fog disappeared so it was possible to admire the views from the top. Then we had a walk to the monument of the Ghost of the Mountains. It is said that you will enjoy luck and happiness after§ you jump around this monument on one leg. On the way back to Prostejov we visited an ancient village-museum with lots of historical houses and items used by people in the old days. One day we visited a factory where they produce alcoholic beverages. We could learn both about the history of the factory (being on of the oldest in the Czech Republic) and about the way of producing these drinks. We had also an opportunity to visit the sports centre meant for training and examining abilities of professional athletes. We could listen to the lecture delivered to us and learned about the centre’s activities. The last day of our stay in Prostejov didn’t include project activities as we had to start our way back home. We met our new friends – hosts – who came to say good-bye to us and then left for Zgorzelec. Of course, we travelled by train again. It took us a few hours to get back home.
